The LoRa transmission system is based on an optimized radio technology that allows transmitting data packets at distances in kilometers or capable of crossing different levels of buildings.
This technology was used to transmit environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, light intensity and air quality, through battery-powered wireless sensors, this allows to reduce installation and wiring costs.
INTELLIENERGY has developed additional modules that allow you to read pulses, levels and analog signals 0-10V / 4-20mA to be able to acquire the most information from the field. In order to exploit this technology also for wired sensors, a Modbus Bridge Master has been realized which interrogates the connected Slave devices, processes the data, stores them internally and transmits them via LoRa to the Gateway Typical applications are Energy management activities such as the control of thermal power plants or energy consumption of buildings, or the acquisition of data from unmanned / unpowered installations. Each sensor stores data inside so as not to lose any data information, the health of the sensors is monitored at each transmission.
The LoRa Gateways built by INTELLIENERGY are able to collect the data transmitted by the various associated LoRa sensors and make them available via RS485 Modbus RTU to your controller.
Through the process of association of the sensors to the Gateway, the Modbus register map of all connected devices is created. At each transmission, the transmission quality and the status of the batteries of the connected sensors are checked, the free LoRaSeeder software allows any transmission variable to be configured so that data can be received in a safe and reliable manner. The Gateway IGW02 is developed in a single DIN module of thickness, it allows the connection up to 64 sensors.
The wireless transmission system developed by INTELLIENERGY is based on GATEWAY LoRa with serial Modbus RTU communication connected to battery-powered LoRa sensors.
The LoRa Modbus master 20WGI Bridge allows data to be collected and stored via RS485 before sending it via LoRa to the Gateway, typical application is the acquisition of measurements from Energy meters. (Acquisition of measurements from Energy meter).
The available wireless LoRa sensors are:
For temperature measurement needs, INTELLIENERGY has developed an IP67 version for outdoor measurement, and an internal IP30 version. Are available the Temperature + Humidity and Temperature + Humidity + Lux (for the measurement of internal brightness) and the one with the sensor for measuring the VOC (air quality).
The process of association of the sensors takes place through a simple and anti-tampering procedure, the estimated duration of the batteries with transmission every 10 minutes is 5 years. It is possible to have ACCREDIA certified temperature probes or batteries that guarantee 7 years of operation. Each sensor is equipped with an internal Datalogger.
