THE MID DIRECTIVE
Implemented nationally with Legislative Decree 22/2007 is one of the new approach directives adopted by the European community. The objective of this approach is the definition of shared and common technical rules, which allow the instruments to move freely within the community
e instruments that fall within this standard have the CE marking, and it is important to underline that the directive relates exclusively to the design and production phases of the measuring instruments.
In energy monitoring installations or in those installations on machines with limited space, the dimensions of the instrument are the basis for being able to perform measurements without having to create a new panel.
The QE-POWER-T model is the most compact three-phase instrument on the market, only 17.5mm wide, without display, with integrated RS485 serial communication. The instrument supports any type of current transformers (secondary 1 or 5 A, 333mV and Rogowski probes). Three different versions are available, from basic measures up to quality network measurements. The device requires a low voltage supply in direct or alternating current.

THREE-PHASE compact energy meters are available with LED display with external CT with 5A secondary or 333mV input, Transmitters (without display) and THREE-PHASE instruments with graphic display with high performance (Harmonic Analysis and THD) in class 0.5S. SINGLE-PHASE instruments for measurements with external CTs with secondary 1 or 5 A. In addition to the serial output, there are versions with impulsive digital output, alarm threshold and analogue outputs. Versions with internal Datalogger are available to store data locally on the instrument.

The instrumentation for measures of network quality includes different models, by definition those instruments capable of measuring at least the 51st harmonic are defined, but from a practical point of view it is known that most of the problems are present in the first tens.
Doing a network quality analysis also means measuring the THD on the voltage and current channels and counting and measuring the number of interruptions or voltage dips. Panel executions are typically used by panel builders and plant builders as they can be installed during construction. The large display allows the operator to view the data and the operating parameters of the system.
Basic versions are available for essential measurements, MID certified versions (for energy efficiency projects), versions with graphic display with network quality measurements, display of phasors and the waveform graph. All these instruments are equipped with RS485 Modbus RTU serial communication port. The accuracy class starts from 0.5 S up to 0.2 S.
In the case of measurements on storage systems, photovoltaic systems, data centers, telecommunications shelters and other applications related to continuous measurements, the QI-POWER line allows the measurement of DC voltages up to 1000 V and currents up to 400 A DC with a single instrument equipped with RS485 Modbus RTU serial communication.
The QA-POWER-M module allows to have an analogue output, a threshold and a direct input up to 10 A AC / DC and to store the data thanks to a USB memory key to be connected directly on the instrument The QA-POWER-M is equipped with RS485 serial communication and is suitable for use as a signal converter for AC voltages up to 600 V and DC up to 1000 V.
